McEachern High School Head Football Coach, Jimmy Dorsey, and Camden County Head Football Coach, Jeff Herron, started Wing-T Camps of America, Inc. over 20 years ago. Coach Dorsey and Coach Herron developed a camp concept which provides professional instruction for a successful and strategic offensive system. Implementing the “Delaware Wing-T System” has proven successful outstanding results with amazing longevity at the high school level.
Coach Dorsey and Coach Herron have been high school head coaches for 41 years and have collectively accumulated 402 wins in the State of Georgia exclusively using the “Delaware Wing-T System” During this 41 year span, these high schools teams are credited with 2 State Championships, one State Runner-up, 8 final four contests and over 20 Region Championships. These teams have also made countless trips to the state play-offs in their respected regions.
As with any successful event, many have tried to create a camp to imitate the Wing-T Camps of America Inc. teaching system. But none have survived the test of time nor do they have the success rate that teams have achieved after attending a camp directed by these outstanding coaches. It is not unusual to see a team that attends one of these camps to make the play-offs for the first time, have their first winning season or even eventually winning a “STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!” Just ask the “Jessieville Lions” of Jessieville, Arkansas who went 15-0 in 2006 and won their first State Championship in the school history after attending our Southwestern Camp for many years!
